Olerin is a private health record-keeper. You track what you take, your lab results, and how you feel; Olerin keeps that record organized, charted, and yours. This policy explains what data Olerin handles, how, and the controls you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed — it is short on purpose.
One principle above the rest: your health data is yours. We do not sell it, we do not show you ads, we do not use it to train AI models, and we designed the product so that deleting your account actually deletes your data.
1. What Olerin collects
Account information. An account identifier and, depending on how you sign in: your email address (email, Google, or Apple sign-in — Apple may provide a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email), or your phone number (phone sign-in). Sign-in with Google or Apple shares only basic account information (identifier, email, and name if provided); Olerin never receives your Google or Apple password.
Profile details you choose to enter. Name, date of birth, sex, height, and unit preferences. All optional.
Health records you enter. The core of the product, entered by you: supplements, peptides, and medications you track; dose logs; protocol timelines; lab results (typed in, or extracted from PDF reports you upload); daily check-ins; progress photos; goals; reminder schedules; and notes.
Apple Health data, read-only, only if you connect it. With your permission, Olerin reads selected metrics from Apple Health (such as sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, weight, steps, body composition, VO2max, SpO2, respiratory rate, active energy, and blood glucose) to chart them alongside your records. Olerin never writes to Apple Health, and Apple Health data is used only to display and chart your information within Olerin — never for advertising, marketing, or sale, and never disclosed to third parties for those purposes.
Ask Olerin conversations.If you use the chat feature, your messages and the assistant's replies are stored so your conversation survives app restarts. You can clear this history at any time, which deletes it.
Feedback. If you send feedback, we store your message, the app version, and whether you gave permission to reply by email.
Device and technical data. A push notification token if you enable reminders; basic technical logs necessary to operate the service. [PLANNED — FINALIZE AT LAUNCH: privacy-respecting product analytics (screen views and feature usage events, never the contents of your health records) to understand how the app is used.]
2. How Olerin uses data
To provide the product you signed up for: storing and displaying your records, syncing across your sessions, sending the reminders you schedule, generating the charts, reports, and exports you request, and answering your questions in Ask Olerin using your own data as context.
That is the list. Olerin does not use your data for advertising, does not sell or rent it, and does not permit third parties to use it for their own purposes.
3. AI features and how they process your data
Two features use artificial intelligence, and both run only when you use them:
Ask Olerin (chat).When you send a message, your question and relevant context from your records (such as recent logs, labs, and trends) are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply.
PDF lab import.When you upload a lab report, the document is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the values, which you then review before saving.
Anthropic processes this data as a service provider under commercial API terms; it is not used to train AI models. Nothing is sent to any AI service until you use these features. Ask Olerin is a record-keeping assistant: it is designed to describe your data, not to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or dosing guidance.
4. Where data lives and how it is protected
Your data is stored with Supabase, our cloud database and storage provider, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced at the database layer with row-level security, meaning your records are readable only by your authenticated account. Progress photos are stored in a private bucket accessible only to you. Payment card details, if subscriptions are offered, are handled by Apple's App Store — Olerin never sees your card number.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise perfection — we promise the architecture described here, and prompt disclosure if it ever fails in a way that affects you.
5. Service providers
Olerin shares data only with the vendors required to run the product, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Anthropic (AI processing described above), Apple (sign-in, push notification delivery, and App Store billing), Google (sign-in), Twilio (SMS verification codes for phone sign-in), and Expo (build and push-notification infrastructure). Olerin has no advertising partners and no data brokers, and shares nothing with insurers or employers. We may disclose information if legally compelled, and we would resist overbroad demands.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data is retained until you delete it. There is no time-based purge: a lab result from years ago stays charted until you remove it or your account.
Deleting your account is self-service and immediate: Profile → Delete account. Deletion removes your account and cascades through all associated records — items, logs, protocols, labs, photos, health metrics, chat history, goals, reminders, and feedback — and sweeps your photo storage. Deleted data is not recoverable by you or by us. Clearing individual data (a chat history, a photo, a log) deletes that data.
Before deleting, you can take your records with you: Export report produces a PDF or CSV files of your data.
7. Your choices and rights
You can read, edit, and export everything you have entered, disconnect Apple Health at any time (in iOS Settings → Health → Apps), disable notifications, clear chat history, and delete your account entirely — all in-app, no email required. Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights (such as access, correction, portability, and deletion); Olerin's in-app tools are built to satisfy these directly, and you can contact support@olerinhealth.com for anything they do not cover.
8. Age
Olerin is for adults. You must be at least 17 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect, with a summary of what changed. The current version always lives at olerinhealth.com/privacy.
